Just having got this email from Mark I thought I’d share with you what happens when you give him a bottle of Soju (traditional Korean alcoholic beverage). A previous post about Soju can be found here.

For those who you who don’t know; Mark is one of my best mates from England and his antics and ‘it’ll be reeeight’ attitude are always guaranteed to provide amusement.

Marks email in reference to the bottle of Soju I sent him for Christmas:

As for the Soju I’m not saying thank you! Brought it to a party a few weeks ago, got very p***ed drinking it straight like a typical English idiot on a night out. Whereas the Koreans sip it, we were downing shots of it! Almost threw up but didn’t feel very well next day.

Had about half a bottle left and took it up to Glasgow with me but as I was going through customs they took it off me coz you can’t have liquids on a plane and gave it loads of strange looks.

So it looks like Hudson can’t handle his Soju.

I went out for dinner with the teachers last Friday and watched Anne’s husband drink a whole bottle to himself then, with the appearance of someone who was totally sober, drive home. I guess the Koreans are just used to it!
