Once again I’ve fallen behind with my blogging. It makes me wonder how on earth I’ll keep up once I start travelling. I guess the posts will have to become much shorter.
Anyway back to the kindergarten trip last Friday. Luckily there isn’t an awful lot to say. Usually these things are educational experiences for the kids (and me!) but for once it was purely about fun for the kids (and me)!
We went to an indoor adventure playground. As we arrived and the kids saw what was awaiting them they could barley contain their excitement. At the same time I was desperate to go and play on the equipment but tried to maintain the facade of a sensible teacher and sat sipping coffee with the other teachers.
After about half an hour I couldn’t contain myself any longer – I had to go and play. So on the pretext of taking some photos I headed towards the back of the play equipment and found some of the kids. Most of them scurried away as soon as they saw me. Even at five it’s not cool to be seen hanging out with your teacher. But Irene came to my rescue and beckoned me towards the tunnel she was crawling though. I was afraid of breaking the equipment so I declined going too far into the play area and hung out on the edges taking photos and wishing I was small enough to go down the slide into the ball pool.
Below are some of my favourite photos of the kids. More photos can be found here.
Well that’s all from me for now. I’m on Korea Times duty for the next couple of weeks so I’m pretty busy but I’ll check in again soon.
Bye.
