Insa-dong

with No Comments

At the weekend Daniel took me to Insa-dong or Insadong (depending on where you look). This is a traditional Korean culture street and a fantastic introduction to Korean culture and traditions. It was much busier than in the photo and it is filled with bookstores, antiques shops, traditional cafes and art galleries. It was fantastic to look around and I could have spent a fortune there!

The shops were full of traditional things such as these masks. On the tube on the way back I spotted a mask festival that I will try and visit in a few weeks. Obviously the masks have cultural significance. I don’t know what it is at the moment but as soon as I do I will update this post.
