Birthday Princess!

I always thought I’d celebrate my quarter of a century by getting very drunk and doing something totally irresponsible. But it was not to be – I spent my 25th birthday (Monday) at work and then having a meal with Kat. During which he only liquid that passed between my lips was a coke and some green tea!

Technically my birthday celebration began on Sunday when we arrived back in Seoul from our snowboarding expedition. Kat and Emily took me to Outback (an Australian style steak house) for a nice juicy birthday steak and chips – it was divine! As we were waiting or our sweet to arrive at the table, they totally embarrassed me by springing the singing waiters/waitresses on me!

The following day, my actual birthday, I was spoilt rotten. I was almost late for work after my mum called me before work to wish me Happy Birthday. During my lunch break, whilst I was peacefully sat in the PC room, Kat scared the life out of me shoving a bunch of the pinkest roses you have ever seen in my face.

After that she brought me dinner at Lotteria (the Korean McDonalds) and gave me the card Laura had sent. Saying she’d swiped it from the letter box on Friday so I wouldn’t open it before my birthday.

After work Kat and I went to a really nice Chinese restaurant in the town next to where we live. It was there she gave me the birthday cards she’d got the essay class (two nineteen year old boys) to make me. She’d also brought me some underwear I’d seen in a shop near school and had embarrassed the boys by wrapping it in front of them!

We arrived home after eating far to much, and whilst I was in the process of getting ready for bed, Kat produced a birthday cheese cake complete with candles and instructed me to have my picture taken. The result is below!

After cramming some cake into my already exploding stomach and speaking to my Dad I retired to bed. The shortly before midnight my birthday was completed with a Happy Birthday call from my Nan.
